This year the winner of the Beef Shorthorn heifer is Patsy Browne from Mallow Co. Cork. Patsy purchased his winning line on the first day of the Ploughing Championships. Congratulations to Patsy. We had a fantastic selection of both Beef & Milking Shorthorns on display. We had a selection of Commercial crossbred cattle bred by Thomas Kearney, Turloughmore, Co. Galway, these were progeny of a Beef Shorthorn bull & Limousin Cows.The Society would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets and everyone who visited our stand over the three days. It was a great success. Also a big thank you to all the exhibitors, tickets sellers, hospitality team, the guys who looked after all the animals so well, and the team that put the stand in place and then take it all down on the Thursday, a huge thank you to all.
