This year for the second year running the Society have decided to hold a Shorthorn Photographic Competition. This year the subject is: A group of Shorthorn cattle in their natural environment.
This year the competition in open to both Beef and Milking Shorthorns. Again this year we have divided it into two sections with a Junior under 16 section and a Senior over 16 section. Photos must be taken with a digital camera and emailed to Society email:shorthornsoc@eircom.net by Friday September 11th. A prize of 100euro is available for the Senior section and a prize of 50 euro for the Junior Section. The Prize money has once again been very kindly sponsored by Doon Shorthorns. The winners will be announced on the very last day of the Ploughing Championships in Stradbally.
