About the Herd:
We bought our first purebred Shorthorn Heifer in 2004 from Thady O’Brien in Sligo. Her Sire was Mohill Jack and her Dam was Mizen Princess Fas.
We now have 9 purebred Shorthorns, all of which are from A.I. sires. We like to use the top sires available such as: Creaga Dice, Kilfrush Vantage 2nd, Glenisla Explorer and Annanwater Scotsman.
We find that Shorthorn cattle are hardy and easily calved.
We sell our stock both at home and at Society run sales.
