A great day was had by all who traveled to the Brady farm, Grousehall, Co. Cavan on Saturday May 9th, after a dreadful wet day on the Friday, we were blessed when the sun shone down on proceedings. We had a great turn out of both young and old. Basil Bothwell from ICBF was a great hit on the day with his Linear Scoring Demonstration which had questions coming frequently from the spectators. Equally popular with the crowd was James McEnroe with the live clipping demonstration, with lots of young handlers listening intently to his words of wisdom as he transformed two animals on the day. At the Stock Judging Competition Emma Hynes from Athlone took the honours in the under 18 section and Tom Staunton, Kinvara took the over 18 prize. In the Guess the Weight Competition young James McCauley from Co. Down took the honours. We would like to thank the Brady Family for hosting the event and for their wonderful hospitality and to all who took the time to support the event both young and old, we really appreciate your support. I hope we will see all our young members in the show rings over the summer showing season, showing us all that they were paying attention on the day. There are a number of photos available for viewing in the Gallery section of the website from the day.
