Q. When can I view animals?
A. All sale animals will be available for viewing from 9am on Saturday, 7th November.
Q. Will the sale be online?
A. Yes, the sale will be online via Martbids. To bid online via Martbids you must pre-register prior to the sale day with Martbids and the Midland & Western Livestock Improvement Society Ltd. Contact: 00353 863883112. All online buyers must pre-register at a minimum of 24 hours prior to the sale.
Q. Are animals pre-inspected?
A. Yes, all animals are pre-inspected.
Q. Are all animals tested TH free?
A. All animals are TH free by test.
Q. Are animals export tested?
A. Yes, all animals are export tested.
Q. Are animals eligible for UK society registration?
A. Please see footnote on catalogue of each lot. Confirmed with UK Breed Society.
Q. How can I transport my animal to Northern Ireland?
A. All potential Northern Ireland buyers must be registered on the TRACES system. To register, please contact DAERA with your herd number to complete the process. Once registered, DAERA will list your herd on TRACES, enabling completion of the necessary export paperwork on sale day. Note: If you have previously registered on TRACES for a previous sale, you do not need to register again.
All animals are eligible for export to Northern Ireland on sale day, with transport available. Note: Buyers will be liable for transport fees. For transport arrangements, please contact Tom Humphreys at 00353 87 919 5393 prior to the sale. Note: All transport & export arrangements must be pre-arranged by buyers prior to the sale.
Q. Is there lairage available for UK buyers?
A. Buyers from Mainland UK must pre-arrange lairage prior to purchase. For lairage arrangements, please contact Richard O’Beirne at 00353 87 207 7847 prior to the sale. Note: Buyers will be liable for all lairage and transport fees.
