The Moyside Club aims to promote the Shorthorn breed in the West of Ireland. The club was formed on 2nd July, 2004 at a meeting in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford, Co. Mayo. Since then membership has steadily grown. Club meetings are held regularly in Walshe’s Lounge, Charlestown, Co. Mayo. New members are always welcome.
The club holds an annual autumn sale at Elphin Mart, Co. Roscommon in conjunction with The Croghan Club.

The Croghan Shorthorn Breeders Club is one of the oldest clubs in the country. The club became dormant in 2011 and was revived in 2022 with great success. The autumn sale is held in conjunction with The Moyside Club and the spring sale is held in Carrick Showgrounds.
Monthly meetings are held in Carrick Showgrounds, Carrick on Shannon. New members are always welcome to join.

The Southwestern Shorthorn Breeders Club reactivated in January 2024. The club caters for Shorthorn breeders and enthusiasts in the south-west region. For more information follow our facebook page.

The Shannonside Shorthorn Breeders Club holds it’s annual sale of Pedigree Registered Shorthorns at Clare Marts, Ennis, Co. Clare on the first Saturday of October each year.
