Irish Shorthorn National Show -Entries Open

The Irish Shorthorn Society will hold its inaugural National Show at Elphin Mart, Co. Roscommon on Saturday the 11th of September 2021 under strict COVID-19 rules and regulations.

The show will begin at 11.30 am sharp and will run in the following order.


Classes on the day are: 

 
 Senior Classes
Class 1All Ireland Cow with 2021 born calf at foot judged as a pair.
Class 2All Ireland Heifer born between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019
Class 3All Ireland Heifer born between January 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020
Class 4All Ireland Stock bull prior to January 1, 2020
Class 5All Ireland Junior Bull born between January 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020
 Junior Classes
Class 6All Ireland Male calf born between September 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020
Class 7All Ireland Male calf born between January 1, 2021 and March 31, 2021
Class 8All Ireland Male calf born on or after April 1, 2021
Class 9All Ireland Female calf born between September 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020
Class 10All Ireland Female calf born between January 1, 2021 and March 31, 2021
Class 11All Ireland Female calf born on or after April 1, 2021.
Class 12Best pair of animals from the same herd
 Commercial Classes
Class 13Shorthorn cross female born between September 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020 
Class 14Shorthorn cross female born in 2021
Class 15Shorthorn cross male born in 2021
 Young Handler Classes
Class 16Boy or Girl under 14 years on show date
Class 17Boy or Girl  14 years & under 18 years on show date
 

To enter, download and return the entry form by email to secretary@irishshorthorn.com or by post to the Society Office. 

The entry fee for Classes 1-15 is €10.00 per class.

Entries must be received by the Secretary of the Irish Shorthorn Society before 5.00 pm on Friday, August 20th.
