Tullamore Show is delighted to announce our very first Young Handlers Event “Showmanship Basics”.

We would be delighted to invite all Young Handlers of your societies to be present on the day.

This event is free, and registration will be available from Monday 1^st April. We would ask all Young Handlers and their guardian to register.

When: 14^th April 2024

Where: GVM Tullamore Mart

Time: 11 O’Clock – 2 O’Clock

This event will welcome new and existing young handlers across Dairy, Beef and Sheep to gain additional knowledge, learn new skills and prepare for the showing season ahead.

There will be many demonstrations and discussions throughout the day covering many areas which include the following:

1. Grooming ( Washing & Clipping)
2. Showing
3. Safety awareness – safety knot etc
4. Photography tips – Getting the correct photo that showcase your animal.
5. Showing etiquette and attire

There will be several animals present on the day and Young Handlers can interact with the animals and demonstrations during the day.

We will also be launching the Tullamore Show & FBD National Show for 2024 and delighted to welcome FBD Team to the event.

There will be goodie bags and spot prizes available on the day and Tullamore Show will provide food/meals for all people present on the day in which Supermac’s will cater.
