The Irish Shorthorn Society hereby gives notice that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place as follows:
Date: Saturday, 28th March 2026
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Venue: Tullamore Court Hotel, O’Moore St, Spollanstown, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, R35D406
Agenda
1. Adoption of standing orders.
2. Adoption of the Minutes of previous AGM.
3. Adoption of the Financial Statements and Auditor’s Report for the years ending 31
December 2024 and 31 December 2025.
4. Appointment of Auditors.
5. Election of Council.
6. Society Reports (President’s address and Secretary’s report).
7. Club Reports.
8. A.O.B. (Please note: If you wish to raise an issue under A.O.B., you must submit your
request in writing to the Society Office no later than Thursday, 19th March 2026.)
Notice is also hereby given that a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Irish Shorthorn Society will take place immediately following the Annual General Meeting at the same venue.
Purpose of the Special General Meeting (SGM): To consider and, if thought fit, adopt amendments to the Rules of the Irish Shorthorn Society in order to ensure compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/1012 (Animal Breeding Regulation) and associated national legislation. Copies of the proposed rule amendments accompany this notice for the information of members. Members wishing to obtain a copy of the Society’s Consolidated Rules may request same from the Society
Office. Resolution “That the members of the Irish Shorthorn Society hereby approve and adopt the amendments to the Rules of the Society as circulated to members with the Notice of Meeting dated 10th March 2026, and that the revised consolidated Rules incorporating these amendments be and are hereby adopted.”
